Today in my iPhone blog is the battle of the premium Twitter apps. Before I start, I know there are a ton of Twitter apps in the iTunes App store, and lots of them free, and some of them good, but this review is between my two Favorite paid Twitter Apps.
Todays Twitter apps are:
The newly released challenger: Tweetsville by Tapulous
The incumbent Twitter champ: Twittelator Pro Big Stone Phone
Tweetsville has a clean and fast interface.

Twittelator Pro has a selectable theme and very colorful interface.

The Tweetsville app has all the features of the desktop version of Twitter

Twittelator Pro has many more features then Tweetsville

Twittelator Pro is my Twitter app and has a place on the front screen of my iPhone, but the folks at Tapulous, the same people that bring us Tap Tap revenge and the very poplar free Twitter app “Twinkle” released the Tweetsville app, and now Twitterlator has some real competition! Unlike the free Twinkle app, Tweetsville does not require an additional account to function, and in look, feel and function is nothing like Twinkle.
Twittelator Pro <vs>Tweetsville: Tweetsville has unseated Twittelator Pro and is my new favorite iPhone Twitter app, and has replaced Twittelator on the front page of my iPhone While Twittelator Pro offers more features and functions, I find that I do not really use most of the features. The interface of Twittelator while colorful, is a bit busy and somewhat harder to use than Tweetsville. Tweetsville (in simple list design, as shown) is such a fast, clean, simple and easy to use interface that, even without the additional features, it is my pick of twitter apps.
Tweetsville is not some stripped down app it has all of the features you would, want from a Twitter app, Including Timeline, Private messages, adding and removing of the following of people. View people’s profiles directly in the app, see who they are following and who is following them, built in fast browser to follow links without closing the app. You can add photos to your tweets, from camera roll or camera.
I don’t want to diss Twittelator Pro as it too is a very good Twitter app, but for me Tweetsville is just better.

Posted in Comments, iPhone App of the Day, New iPhone App of the Day with tags App store, iPhone, Search, Searchme on December 21, 2008 by mikesiphoneblogWell today I have more than just an iPhone app for you, today I give you a new way to search the web: SearchMe: http://www.searchme.com/ SearchMe.com is still in Beta, but they have a new clever way to search the web, by letting you see a cover flow like view of the web sites matching your search. You can also filter by categories appear that relate to your search. In addition to there web site they also have a mobile site, and a new native iPhone app.
Todays App is: Searchme by Randy Adams
You enter your search query and you can select the category you want to search, or use the select all option.
Your Results then show a mini page view in a cover flow type view, with a summery at the bottom. You can also pinch and zoom the pages.
Rotating the phone also switches to a full cover flow view.
This is a cool new way to view search results not only on the iPhone but on the web as well. If you double tap a page from the cover view in the Searchme application it automatically the page in the built in Safari application.
